I never write in my journal, but I thought it appropriate and nice to thank everyone who has gotten me to 1000 page views. Thanks people!
Summer Ends
As summer ends I figured I'd post a small update on my life here. Mobile project is done. Other people kind of took over it after I made the initial mock-up, which can be found on my personal website. I've since moved on to work on an interactive Google Map of my University's campus, which seems to be finishing up right now. Other than that, I've decided that I want to pick up a CIS minor to compliment my Computer Science major. I've only got two more classes after this semester to get that minor finished, so that'll work out splendidly.
I've seen a lot of great movies lately. I finally got to see (500) Days of Summer and just recently saw D
Just A Little One...
Here's just a small update on my life for those who care. Things are going much better than the last time I wrote anything here. Yeah, my court date is coming up on the 3rd, so I'm not looking forward to that. The lawyer says that it will probably be dismissed pending community service hours that must be completed, which is far away from my worst-case scenarios, so that's good.
I wasn't able to find an internship this summer to compound on my terrific experience at Cisco a year ago. That's a bummer, but I now have time to work on other stuff, like teaching myself some CSS and redesigning my website into something more complex and non-table-b
Devious Journal Entry
Man I haven't written up here in a really long time.
I've been joining a lot more social networking sites lately. I'm really enjoying it too. I now have a tumblog and a Twitter, which I tweet on every day. If you want to follow me you can find it at http://www.twitter.com/kvitne. Anyway, not too much has been going on with my life since this past summer. I broke up with my longtime girlfriend, which was, coincidentally, a long time coming. One of the best decisions of my life. I was in Germany this past January as well. Had a blast over there. German beer is so much better than American beer it isn't even funny.
In terms of artistry, I'm tr
Cisco Systems Inc.
So as anyone who knows me at all knows, I'm a computer science major. And, seeing as I'm going into my junior year as an undergraduate at Elon University, I needed an internship to boost my career opportunities once I leave graduate school. I worked at it this past spring semester with really nothing to go on, and thought I'd end up spending another summer replacing computers on my school's campus. However the week before I started work a miracle happened. I got called back by Cisco Systems and was offered an internship there starting June 10th and lasting to August 20th! I would be making $23 an hour and working 40 hours a week. It was a dre
