So as anyone who knows me at all knows, I'm a computer science major. And, seeing as I'm going into my junior year as an undergraduate at Elon University, I needed an internship to boost my career opportunities once I leave graduate school. I worked at it this past spring semester with really nothing to go on, and thought I'd end up spending another summer replacing computers on my school's campus. However the week before I started work a miracle happened. I got called back by Cisco Systems and was offered an internship there starting June 10th and lasting to August 20th! I would be making $23 an hour and working 40 hours a week. It was a dream come true: getting to do one of my favorite things and getting paid for it!

So I start working this Tuesday and I can't wait! It's gonna be a great experience working there and I know I'll learn a lot!

And yes, the only reason I updated my journal was so that I could change my "Listening to:" section to Viva La Vida by Coldplay. It's an amazing song that I can't get out of my head!
